Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Texans TE Dalton Schultz racked up 5 catches, 45 yards, and 1 score in Saturday's loss to Kansas City. His 8 targets ranked second on the team.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes completed 28 of 41 attempts for 260 yards and 1 score in Saturday's win over Houston. He added a 5-33-1 rushing line.

Ravens RB Derrick Henry had a great game against the Steelers rushing 24 times for 162 yards, but did not find the end zone for the third game in a row. With RB Justice Hill being knocked out of the game with a concussion, Henry even stayed in pass catching situations, catching both of his targets for 27 yards.

Both Steelers RBs Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren combined for only 90 yards on the ground. Warren led with 12 carries for 48 yards while Harris had nine for 42.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson had the best game of his career against the Steelers, completing 15 of 23 for 207 yards including three TDs. He also ran for 22 yards on the ground, dominating one of the best defenses in the league.

Ravens RB Justice Hill was knocked out of Saturday night's game vs. the Steelers with a concussion. It's his first documented head injury, but Hill is a long shot to be cleared in time for Wednesday's game against the Texans. His absence will likely mean more snaps for RBs Rasheen Ali and/or Keaton Mitchell. RB Derrick Henry could also pick up some more passing-down work.

Texans WR Tank Dell left Saturday's loss to the Chiefs after suffering a serious injury to his left knee. Dell caught a 30-yard TD pass early in the third quarter but landed in clear pain. He left the field in an ambulance with his entire leg being stabilized. HC DeMeco Ryans told reporters after the game that Dell will stay overnight in a Kansas City hospital.

The Packers have ruled LB Quay Walker out for Monday night's game against the Saints because of the ankle he sprained last week.

Saints WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling is questionable for Monday night's game against the Packers. He missed all three days of practice. New Orleans initially listed MVS with a chest injury but added illness Friday. We'll see about his status Monday, but Valdes-Scantling is probably not worth waiting for in your lineup.

The Saints have ruled RB Alvin Kamara out for Monday night's game against the Packers because of his groin injury. That comes as no surprise and aligns with what HC Darren Rizzi indicated earlier this week.

Ravens WR Rashod Bateman is active for today's game against the Steelers. He picked up a foot injury during the practice week that limited him Wednesday and then kept him out Thursday. But NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported this morning that the team was optimistic. Bateman might be limited vs. his usual role and certainly carries some risk of leaving early. Keep that in mind as you consider whether to use him. Check your Team Intel page to see if Bateman makes sense for your lineup.

Browns WR Cedric Tillman (concussion) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game vs. the Bengals. He was limited in practice all week but still hasn't cleared protocol. Tillman's absence helps the target projections on WRs Jerry Jeudy and Elijah Moore, but they remain shaky fantasy plays with QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson taking over for QB Jameis Winston.

Falcons QB Kirk Cousins is expected to be released before a $10 million roster bonus is due on March 17, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Cousins' contract includes a no-trade clause, and he'd reportedly wield it after Atlanta surprised Cousins by using the eighth overall pick of the draft on QB Michael Penix after signing Cousins to a big deal. Cousins played like a 36-year-old coming off an Achilles injury for much of this season, tossing a career-high 16 INTs. That said, there will be plenty of teams looking to upgrade at QB this offseason, and the rookie class is relatively weak. That gives Cousins a reasonable chance to open the 2025 season with a starting job. He's worth keeping stashed in 2-QB and Superflex dynasty leagues.

The Ravens waived WR Diontae Johnson. This has been heading for a split for a few weeks now. Johnson wound up playing just 39 snaps and catching one pass for the Ravens. We'll see if he's claimed off waivers on Monday or hits the open market. He obviously won't be a fantasy factor the rest of this season. Johnson will be a free agent in March.

Jets RB Braelon Allen (back) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Rams. He put in a full practice on Friday, so he should play. RB Breece Hall was never listed on this week’s injury report, though, suggesting that he’s ready for a bigger workload. Allen isn’t a fantasy option.

Raiders QB Aidan O'Connell (knee) put in a full week of practice and is off the final injury report for Sunday’s game vs. the Jaguars. He’s just a low-end QB2 in fantasy lineups, but O’Connell’s return is good news for WR Jakobi Meyers and TE Brock Bowers.

Seahawks QB Geno Smith (knee) put in a full week of practice and is not listed on the final injury report. He’ll start Sunday’s game vs. the Vikings, and it doesn’t look like the knee will be a major factor. Smith still sits well outside QB1 territory in the Week 16 Rankings. He's finished outside the top 18 QBs in fantasy points in five straight.

Seahawks RBs Ken Walker (calf) and Zach Charbonnet (oblique) are off the final Week 16 injury report. Both guys put in full practices on Friday. Walker should return to his role as lead back, but there’s some chance that Charbonnet earned more work with his play over the last two weeks. It’s also a tough matchup against the Vikings’ third-ranked RB defense. It has Walker sitting a bit lower than usual in the Week 16 RB Rankings.

49ers RB Isaac Guerendo (foot, hamstring) did not practice all week and is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Dolphins. It sounds like it’s the hamstring that’s sidelining him. Guerendo’s absence leaves San Francisco down to RBs Patrick Taylor, Ke’Shawn Vaughn, and Israel Abanikanda. Taylor is the favorite for work, but it’s unclear exactly what this backfield will look like. It’s also a tough matchup against a Dolphins defense that’s limited opposing RBs to 2.8 yards per carry over the last five weeks. See where Taylor sits in the Week 16 RB Rankings.

Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill (wrist, personal) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the 49ers. He did not practice on Wednesday, was a full-go on Thursday, and limited on Friday. It's unclear if it's the wrist or a personal issue that has him listed as questionable, but we haven't heard any real concern about his availability for this one. We'll look for further updates on Hill's status, but he can stay penciled into Week 16 fantasy lineups for now.
