Chicago Bears Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Lions RB D'Andre Swift (ankle, shoulder) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. He was limited all last week before missing the Cowboys game. Barring a setback, he should return for Sunday's game against Miami.

Seahawks RB Travis Homer (ribs) has been designated to return from IR. He'll practice on Wednesday and is eligible to play vs. the Giants this weekend if he's ready. Homer was operating in a pass-catching role before going down and figures to swipe that job back from RB DeeJay Dallas. We'll see how much he eats into RB Ken Walker's pass-catching work. The rookie ran a route on a season-high 62% of pass plays last week.

Chargers WR Keenan Allen ranked 4th among Chargers WRs in playing time in Sunday's loss to the Seahawks and checked in 5th in routes, according to Pro Football Focus. He trailed DeAndre Carter, Mike Williams, Michael Bandy and Jason Moore, running just 14 routes among QB Justin Herbert's 57 dropbacks (24.6%). Allen drew just 2 targets, catching both for 11 yards. We'd bet on a bigger role after the Week 8 bye. Carter caught just 3 of 7 targets for 37 yards, trailing RB Austin Ekeler, Williams and TE Gerald Everett in targets.

Chargers WR Keenan Allen (hamstring) is active for today’s game vs. the Seahawks. HC Brandon Staley said Friday that Allen will likely be on a snap count. He’s more of a WR3 this week – but Allen is available if you were waiting on him.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler hears that Chargers WR Keenan Allen (hamstring) is "trending positive" for this afternoon's game vs. the Seahawks. Fowler adds, though, that the final decision on Allen won't come until pregame warmups. That obviously puts fantasy owners in a tough spot, with Chargers inactives not coming until 3 pm ET. We'd try to keep Allen on fantasy benches if possible. HC Brandon Staley suggested on Friday that Allen will be on a snap count if he plays.

Lions RB D'Andre Swift (ankle, shoulder) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Cowboys. He got in 3 limited practices this week, seemingly giving him a good chance to be back for Week 8. Swift’s absence today leaves RB Jamaal Williams as Detroit’s lead ball-carrier vs. the Cowboys’ 5th-ranked RB defense. See where Williams sits in the Week 7 RB Rankings.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Chargers WR Keenan Allen (hamstring) “wants to see how he feels Sunday before making a final decision“ on whether he’ll play. It seems Allen and the Chargers would like to wait until after the Week 8 bye. We’ll see about his status as Sunday plays out, but don’t wait on Allen for your fantasy football lineups.

The Lions don’t expect RB D’Andre Swift (shoulder) to play Sunday against the Cowboys, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. That would keep Jamaal Williams in the backfield lead, with Craig Reynolds and Justin Jackson factoring in for minor roles

Chargers WR Keenan Allen (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Seahawks. He was limited in practice all week and will be a game-time decision, HC Brandon Staley said Friday. “We won’t put him out there unless we know that he can go," Staley said. "How much he goes? Obviously, it’s his first game back, so there will be some type of pitch count — with it being his first game back — if he goes. We’ll just see. But if there’s any apprehension, then he won’t go." For his part, Allen said he has "high hopes" about his availability. We'll see if we get an update on his status on Sunday morning, but we won't get the Chargers' inactives until 3 pm ET.

Lions RB D'Andre Swift (ankle, shoulder) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Cowboys. We’re tentatively expecting Swift to return for that one – but it’s clear that he’s still not at 100%. See where Swift sits in the Week 7 RB Rankings.

Chargers WR Keenan Allen (hamstring) remained limited in Thursday's practice. He suggested Wednesday that he might sit out through the Week 8 bye, but we'll see how he's listed on the final injury report tomorrow for this weekend's game vs. Seattle.

"It's going to be a thought process going into it," Allen said. "Definitely want to play it the smartest way, and if that's the best thing, then that's what it will be." We'll continue to keep an eye on the situation, but Allen owners can't yet count on him playing on Sunday vs. Seattle.
