Baltimore Ravens Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

The Bears on Thursday placed S Eddie Jackson on the non-football injury list with a hamstring issue that he sustained while working out. According to the team website, HC Matt Nagy said he's "not overly concerned." So expect Jackson to return well ahead of the season.

Insider Nick Underhill reports that Saints WR Deonte Harris was arrested earlier this month and charged with DUI. Underhill notes that these situations usually result in a 2-game suspension. Harris caught just 20 balls last year but became more important in New Orleans after the Michael Thomas news. He remains off the redraft radar, especially with the impending suspension.

Let's just let ESPN's Adam Schefter explain why the Ravens will practice Wednesday without their starting QB: "Lamar Jackson is not practicing today in a COVID-related case the league still is trying to process, per Jamison Hensley and me. Jackson, who tested positive on Thanksgiving, had another test that NFL officials flagged. NFL now going through science, and Ravens awaiting answers." We'll see where this situation goes. It's impossible to tell at the moment whether this is something that will only cost Jackson a day or 2 -- or an issue we should be concerned about. Jackson, of course, had the positive test last November that cost him a game. But we hadn't heard of any related issues since. For now, we're not adjusting Jackson's fantasy outlook.

According to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic, Ravens WR Rashod Bateman has given the Ravens, “every reason to believe he’ll be a significant contributor from Day 1.” Zrebiec adds that Bateman “hasn’t looked like a rookie.” It's tough to expect consistent fantasy contributions given a run-heavy offense and the presence of Mark Andrews, Marquise Brown and Sammy Watkins. But there’s a real chance that Bateman’s role grows as the season rolls along. He's heavily discounted with a WR62 price in FFPC best ball drafts.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is expected to be activated from the COVID list and start Tuesday's game against the Cowboys, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Jackson carries elevated risk in Week 13 fantasy lineups coming off the illness -- but the matchup is sweet vs. Dallas' 22nd-ranked QB defense.
