New York Giants Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Giants WR Darius Slayton was knocked out of Sunday's game vs. the Falcons with a hamstring injury. That comes just a few minutes after WR Sterling Shepard was ruled out with his own hamstring injury. New York is down to WRs Kenny Golladay, Collin Johnson, C.J. Board and Kadarius Toney.

The Titans signed K Randy Bullock off their practice squad. He'll replace K Michael Badgley, who was dumped earlier today. Bullock isn't a recommended Week 2 fantasy play after Tennessee's offense struggled in the opener.

Giants CB Adoree' Jackson (ankle) is active for today's game against the Broncos, giving the team its new starting duo for the matchup with Denver WRs Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton.

Giants WR Darius Slayton left Sunday's preseason finale against the Patriots with an ankle/foot injury. The team deemed him questionable to return. We wouldn't expect him to return to the contest, but that designation makes the outlook seem better than if the team had labeled him otherwise. We'll see about the official diagnosis. Slayton is no more than a late consideration in deeper formats, so he's probably not worth drafting in most fantasy football leagues.

Bills RB Devin Singletary got the start in Saturday's preseason finale and played all 12 snaps on the 1st possession. RB Zack Moss ended up leading the backfield with 16 snaps with QB Josh Allen, though. Singletary played 15 and RB Matt Breida 7. Breida, interestingly, played 6 of those 7 snaps in the slot or split out wide. This is looking like at least a 2-man, and potentially a 3-man committee heading into Week 1.

Bills RB Devin Singletary played all 10 snaps on the team’s 1st possession of Saturday's preseason game vs. the Bears. He ended up out-snapping RB Zack Moss 21 to 12 with what amounted to the 1st-team offense. Singletary took 2 carries for 21 yards, highlighted by this impressive TD. Moss finished with 4 carries for 21 yards. It’s possible that Buffalo wanted to limit Moss’ snaps after he missed a few days with a hamstring injury in mid-August. But it’s also possible that Singletary opens the season as the lead back. We've adjusted our projections for the Bills backfield.

Raiders TE Darren Waller returned to practice on Tuesday, according to The Athletic's Tashan Reed. Waller ended up missing about 2 weeks with what was reportedly a minor ankle injury. Barring a setback, it shouldn't be an issue come Week 1.

Broncos HC Vic Fangio said he was pleased with the performance from each of his top 2 QBs in Saturday's preseason opener against the Vikings. Drew Lock started, completed 5 of 7 passes for 151 yards and tossed a pair of TDs -- including an 80-yard connection with K.J. Hamler. Teddy Bridgewater then went 7-of-8 for 74 yards and another TD. "I don't think any separation happened today," Fangio said of the QB competition afterward, according to Andrew Mason of DNVR. Bridgewater is expected to start the next game.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that Raiders TE Darren Waller is dealing with an ankle injury that's "not concerning." We know Waller has been sidelined for over a week now -- but this is the 1st time we've heard why. "If prepping for a regular-season game, Waller would probably be fine," Fowler adds. We'll keep an eye on this, but it doesn't sound like we need to adjust 2021 expectations for Waller right now.

The Broncos listed QBs Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater as co-starters on the first unofficial depth chart. Per HC Vic Fangio, Lock will start Week 1 of the preseason vs. Minnesota; Bridgewater will start Week 2 against Seattle. Fangio said Lock is getting the first crack at starting because he’s the returning veteran — not because he’s outplayed Bridgewater. We ultimately expect both passers to make starts in 2021.

A source tells The Athletic's Vic Tafur that Raiders TE Darren Waller is "fine" and whatever has kept him out of practice is "nothing serious." Waller has missed the past 4 practices but has been spotted in the weight room. We'll continue to keep an eye on this but aren't adjusting expectations for Waller.

Raiders TE Darren Waller has missed the past 3 practices. That's all we know at this point. It's not even clear if Waller is injured or away from the team for another reason. We'll pass along an update as soon as we know more. For now, we're not moving Waller in the TE rankings.

The Broncos are giving 1st reps to QB Drew Lock as training camp begins. But it doesn’t sound like we should read too much into that. "We have these first four days. Everything was 50-50 in OTA. We will take look after the first off day. Then maybe do a day where one gets 70 and the other 30 reps,” Fangio said, according to Troy Renck. “It's going to be 50-50." Expect an even split early. We’ll look for signs that either Lock or Teddy Bridgewater is taking the lead in their competition.

Bills WR Cole Beasley, WR John Brown, RB Devin Singletary and TE Dawson Knox are all inactive for today’s game against the Jets. Don’t expect to see much of QB Josh Allen or RB Frank Gore. Top CB Tre’Davious White is also inactive for Buffalo.

The Raiders and TE Darren Waller have agreed to a 3-year extension worth about $9 million per season, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Instead of hitting restricted free agency this offseason, Waller is now signed with Oakland through 2023. It's a big commitment to a guy who was signed off the Ravens' practice squad last November. Waller has quickly emerged as a focal point of the Raiders' passing game, leading the team with 42 targets, 37 catches and 359 yards through 5 games.

Bengals K Randy Bullock (back) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Jaguars. We'll see if Cincinnati adds a K, but Bullock shouldn't be in Week 9 fantasy lineups at less than 100% and in a tough matchup.
