Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Raiders TE Darren Waller (knee, back) did not practice on Wednesday. We don't have any details on the back issue that's now on the injury report, but this obviously isn't a good start for Waller's chances of returning for Sunday's game vs. the Chiefs. We'll get another update tomorrow.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that Raiders TE Darren Waller is "optimistic" that he'll be able to return for Sunday's game at Kansas City. Waller missed the loss to Washington after leaving the Thanksgiving Day game early with a knee injury. We'll track his progress through this practice week. Foster Moreau disappointed in Waller's absence, with just 1 catch among 3 targets vs. Washington.
Raiders TE Darren Waller (knee) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game vs. Washington. He's considered "week to week" and isn't a lock to be back for next Sunday's game vs. the Chiefs. TE Foster Moreau posted a 6-60-1 line when Waller missed Week 7 and is a viable fantasy spot starter.
The Raiders list TE Darren Waller (knee) as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. Washington. He didn’t practice all week and won’t play. Waller’s absence makes TE Foster Moreau a viable Week 13 spot starter. He posted a 6-60-1 line on 6 targets when Waller missed Week 7.
Washington has ruled S Landon Collins out for Sunday's game against the Raiders with a foot injury. Collins has been splitting time at safety and LB in recent weeks, helping to improve the team's mid-range coverage. His absence enhances the matchup for Vegas TEs, RBs and Hunter Renfrow.
Raiders TE Darren Waller (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. He's a long shot to play vs. Washington this weekend. Waller's absence would turn TE Foster Moreau into a viable Week 13 spot starter.
Raiders interim HC Rich Bisaccia called TE Darren Waller "week-to-week" with the knee injury he suffered on Thanksgiving. That suggests that Waller is unlikely to play vs. Washington on Sunday. We'll keep an eye on him this week, but fantasy owners should be making other plans for Week 13. TE Foster Moreau would be a viable replacement after posting a 6-60-1 line when Waller missed Week 7
Raiders TE Darren Waller has been diagnosed with a strained IT band in his knee, sources tell NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero. Rapoport calls it "some very good news" but doesn't give a timetable for Waller's return. We'll look for further updates.
Raiders TE Darren Waller is scheduled for an MRI on his injured knee on Friday, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Waller wasn't in a lot of pain after the win over the Cowboys, Rapoport adds. We should learn more about Waller's status by the end of today.
Raiders TE Darren Waller suffered a knee injury in the 1st half of Thursday's game vs. the Cowboys and won't return. We'll look for an update on his status. TE Foster Moreau will be a viable fantasy starter if Waller misses more time.
Lions QB Tim Boyle is expected to start Sunday's game vs. the Browns, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. QB Jared Goff didn't practice all week with his oblique injury. Boyle has 4 regular-season pass attempts to his name. He went undrafted back in 2018 after completing 55.5% of his passes, averaging 5.6 yards per attempt and tossing 12 TDs vs. 26 INTs across 4 college seasons (3 at UConn, 1 at Eastern Kentucky). There's a good chance this is a total disaster for the Lions offense. Downgrade RB D'Andre Swift and TE T.J. Hockenson.
Panthers DE Brian Burns (ankle) is active for today's game against the Cardinals. He finished the week with a full Friday practice and should be good to go for IDP lineups.
Panthers DE Brian Burns (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. He progressed throughout the week, from missing Wednesday's practice to being limited Thursday and then a full Friday workout. We'll check Burns' status Sunday around 2:30 p.m. ET, when the inactives come out.
Panthers DE Brian Burns left Sunday's loss to the Patriots with right ankle injury. Burns initially left in the 1st quarter after QB Mac Jones tugged him down by the ankle following a Jones fumble. Burns returned from that but later left with an issue in the same ankle. Teammate Haason Reddick said after the game that Burns told him the ankle would be fine, according to ESPN's David Newton.
Raiders TE Darren Waller is not listed on the Week 9 injury report. He missed Vegas' last game -- prior to the Week 8 bye -- with an ankle injury suffered in practice. But he's ready to go for this weekend's game vs. the Giants and remains a high-end fantasy play.
Raiders TE Darren Waller (ankle) is INACTIVE for today’s game against the Eagles. Foster Moreau will step in as Vegas’ lead TE and is a viable fantasy fill-in if you were hoping to use Waller.
Raiders TE Darren Waller (ankle) is expected to be a game-time decision for today's tilt with the Eagles, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Waller "strained his inner ankle and heel" in Friday's practice and doesn't "feel great," Schefter hears. Eagles-Raiders doesn't kick off until 4:05 pm ET, putting fantasy owners in a tough spot. If you're waiting on Waller, Raiders backup TE Foster Moreau, Cardinals TE Zach Ertz, Bucs TEs O.J. Howard and Cameron Brate, Bears TE Cole Kmet and Colts TE Mo Alie-Cox are potential fill-ins if Waller ends up inactive. Check out the Week 7 TE Rankings to see how we rank those guys.
Raiders TE Darren Waller is questionable for Sunday’s game with an ankle injury. The Raiders have a Week 8 bye, so we’ll see if the team opts to play it safe here. Vegas kicks off vs. Philadelphia at 4:05pm EST. Foster Moreau is Waller's direct backup and would become a viable plug-and-play for desperate fantasy managers.
Giants WR Darius Slayton (hamstring) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. If he's able to return for Sunday's game vs. the Panthers, he'd likely be the Giants' #2 WR with Kenny Golladay and Kadarius Toney expected to miss.
Giants WR Darius Slayton (hamstring) returned to practice on Wednesday. So did WR Sterling Shepard (hamstring), who said he plans on playing vs. the Rams this weekend. Slayton also seems on track to play in that one. Look for those 2 -- plus rookie Kadarius Toney -- to operate as New York's top 3 WRs.
