Kansas City Chiefs Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Seahawks edge Carlos Dunlap (ankle) is active for today's game against the Cardinals. He entered the day questionable.

11:41am EST 1/9/22

Browns RB Kareem Hunt (ankle) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Bengals. RB D’Ernest Johnson came off the COVID list earlier this week and will be the #2 RB behind Nick Chubb today.

Browns RB Kareem Hunt (ankle) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s finale vs. the Bengals. Cleveland has been eliminated from playoff contention and might not want to play Hunt at less than 100%. We’ll find out whether he’s active around 11:30 am ET on Sunday. RB D'Ernest Johnson was placed on the COVID list on Monday and remains there as of Friday afternoon.

Ravens WR Marquise Brown (ankle) is not listed on the final Week 18 injury report. He was sidelined on Thursday but returned to a full practice on Friday. Brown should be ready for his usual role in Sunday’s game vs. the Steelers.

Ravens WR Marquise Brown was added to the injury report with an ankle and did not practice on Thursday. We don't have any other information right now. We'll see if Brown gets back on the field on Friday and how he's listed on the final injury report for this weekend's finale vs. the Steelers.

Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (shoulder) is out for Saturday's game vs. the Broncos. He remained sidelined all week, and his availability for the start of the playoffs is uncertain. Darrel Williams will continue to operate as Kansas City's lead back for however long CEH is out. Williams is a top 10 RB for Week 18.

Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (shoulder) remained sidelined for Wednesday's practice. He's looking unlikely to play vs. the Broncos on Saturday night, setting up RB Darrel Williams as a strong fantasy play again.

Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (shoulder) remained sidelined on Tuesday. That's not a good start for his chances of returning for Saturday's game vs. the Broncos. CEH's absence would again make Darrel Williams a borderline RB1.

7:19pm EST 1/3/22

Browns RB Kareem Hunt (ankle) is inactive for tonight's game vs. the Steelers. He put in 2 limited practices this week, so he seemingly has a good shot to be back for next weekend's finale vs. the Bengals. Nick Chubb will dominate work in Cleveland's backfield tonight.

11:31am EST 1/2/22

Ravens WR Marquise Brown (illness) is active for today’s game vs. the Rams. He missed the final 2 practices of the week, but we haven’t heard anything about him being limited today.

Colts QB Carson Wentz (COVID) has been medically cleared to play vs. the Raiders today, HC Frank Reich told NFL Network's Stacey Dales. Wentz is just a QB2 in what figures to be another run-heavy attack from the Colts. But he's good news for RB Jonathan Taylor and WR Michael Pittman

Browns RB Kareem Hunt (ankle) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Steelers. He put in limited practices on Friday and Saturday. Hunt would be a shaky fantasy play coming off the high-ankle sprain if he does suit up. Throw in the Monday night kickoff, and Hunt should remain on fantasy benches. His return would put a dent in RB Nick Chubb's upside, though.

The Colts have activated QB Carson Wentz from the COVID list. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports that the QB still needs to gain final clearance to play in Sunday's game against the Raiders. We'll watch for that heading into the 1 p.m. ET kickoff.

The Chiefs have downgraded RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire to out for Sunday's game against the Bengals. It was more surprising that the team initially deemed him questionable than it is that he'll miss the game. We've had Darrel Williams projected as a strong starter all week. Kansas City also added Jerick McKinnon to the active roster. McKinnon has been out since Week 11 with a hamstring injury. We wouldn't bet on a big role at Cincinnati.

Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (shoulder) didn’t practice all week but is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Bengals. The team is evidently holding out hope that he’ll be able to play, but it seems unlikely. Look for Darrel Williams to operate as Kansas City’s feature back this weekend.

Ravens WR Marquise Brown (illness) missed the final 2 practices of the week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Rams. As long as this doesn’t turn out to be COVID, Brown should play. But you’ll need to check back Sunday to make sure he’s active.

Browns RB Kareem Hunt returned to a limited practice on Friday – his first official workout since suffering a high-ankle sprain back in Week 14. Hunt now has a shot to play vs. the Steelers on Monday night, but we’ll get another update on his status on Saturday afternoon.

Browns RB Kareem Hunt (ankle) remained sidelined on Thursday. He's off the COVID list but still seems unlikely to play vs. the Steelers on Monday night after his Week 14 high-ankle sprain.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce has been activated from the COVID list. He'll get in a full week of practice ahead of Sunday's game vs. the Bengals. Kelce remains an elite TE1 for that one.

Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (shoulder) did not practice on Wednesday. He's considered week-to-week and seems unlikely to play vs. the Bengals this weekend. CEH's absence would make RB Darrel Williams a strong fantasy play.
