Green Bay Packers Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Packers RB AJ Dillon ran for 93 yards and a TD on 18 carries in Sunday's win over the Bears, doubling RB Aaron Jones' rushing attempts. Dillon added 3 catches for 26 yards on 3 targets. It's his best fantasy outing of the year, edging his Week 1 points and following a Week 12 outing that stands as Dillon's 3rd best for the year. He gets the Rams, Dolphins and Vikings after a Week 14 bye. Jones managed just 9-26 on the ground Sunday, with 5 catches for 24 yards on 5 targets.

Packers WR Christian Watson scored another 2 TDs in Sunday's win at Chicago. First came a 14-yard TD reception late in the 2nd quarter, 1 of just 3 catches Watson made for the day for 48 yards. His 6 targets tied WR Allen Lazard for the team lead. Watson added a 46-yard TD run in the 2nd half, his only rushing attempt for the game. It was his 2nd rushing score of the year, among just 5 total carries. Watson now has 8 total TDs over the past 4 games, on just 17 total touches. Although he's bound for some regression on that TD rate, the speedy rookie has increased his role in the offense and will be tough to keep out of fantasy football lineups after the Week 14 bye.

3:00pm EST 12/4/22

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (calf) is active for today’s game vs. the Chargers. He played through this injury last week – and ripped off 303 total yards – so it’s not a major concern.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (calf) will play vs. the Chargers later today, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. So Jacobs evidently didn't need to pass a pregame test to get the green light. Considering he went for 303 total yards playing through this calf injury last week, we're not too worried about it today.

11:37am EST 12/4/22

Packers WR Romeo Doubs (ankle) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Bears. The rookie returned to practice this week and should be back for Week 14. Christian Watson, Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb will again operate as Green Bay’s top 3 WRs today.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (calf) will work out pre-game before a final decision is made on his status for today's game vs. the Chargers, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Jacobs was in the same boat last week before ripping the Seahawks for 303 total yards. He got in 3 limited practices this week. "There is optimism that he can play, but no one will know for sure until the workout," Rapoport says. We're expecting Jacobs to play but won't get Vegas' inactives until 3 pm ET. Fantasy owners should have a late-game replacement rostered just in case Jacobs ends up sitting.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (calf) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Chargers. He hurt his calf last Friday, smoked the Seahawks for 303 total yards on Sunday and then got in 3 limited practices this week. We’re fully expecting Jacobs to play on Sunday, but we’ll look for further updates on his status.

Packers WR Romeo Doubs (ankle) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Bears. We’ll see if the rookie can make it back for that one after going down in Week 9, but he shouldn’t be in your fantasy plans. Christian Watson, Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb should remain locked in as Green Bay’s top 3 WRs this week.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (calf) remained limited in Thursday's practice. We're expecting him to play through this injury vs. the Chargers on Sunday, like he did last weekend when he dismantled the Seahawks.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (calf) was limited in Wednesday's practice. NFL Network's Tom Pelissero set off alarms with a Tuesday tweet that suggested Jacobs might not play vs. the Chargers this weekend. But getting in a limited practice on Wednesday -- after dominating with this injury this past Sunday -- suggests that Jacobs will be available. We'll get another update on his status tomorrow.

Packers WR Romeo Doubs (ankle) got in a limited practice on Wednesday -- his 1st since going down in Week 9. We'll see if Doubs is ready to play vs. the Bears this weekend, but we'd expect him to return as no better than the #4 WR behind Allen Lazard, Christian Watson and slot man Randall Cobb.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs is not expected to practice much, if at all, this week with his calf strain, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. "He’ll get around-the-clock treatment in hopes of playing Sunday against the Chargers," Pelissero adds. It's a surprising report after Jacobs blew up for 303 total yards and 2 TDs vs. the Seahawks last week -- after hurting that calf on Friday. We'll keep you updated on his status throughout the week. If Jacobs can't go on Sunday, Vegas would likely deploy a committee with RBs Zamir White, Ameer Abdullah and Brandon Bolden.

Packers RB AJ Dillon ran for 64 yards and a TD on 8 carries in Sunday night's loss to the Eagles. It was his 1st score since the season opener. Dillon added 3 receptions for 24 yards among 3 targets. RB Aaron Jones added 43 rushing yards on 12 carries and 3-56-1 receiving on 4 targets. The Green Bay backfield gets a favorable matchup with the Bears in Week 13 before a Week 14 bye.

Packers rookie WR Christian Watson scored for the 3rd straight game, delivering a 63-yard catch-and-run TD in Sunday night's loss to the Eagles. That powered a 4-110-1 receiving line on a team-leading 6 targets. Green Bay threw just 25 passes in a game that saw QB Aaron Rodgers leave early, so Watson accounted for a 24% share. RB Aaron Jones, RB AJ Dillon and WR Randall Cobb tied for 2nd with 4 targets apiece. Jones and Cobb caught the team's other 2 TD passes. WR Allen Lazard contributed just 2 receptions for 24 yards among 3 targets. TE Robert Tonyan caught all 3 of his targets for 20 yards.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs entered Sunday questionable with a calf issue that arose in Friday's practice. He finished the day with a 33-229-2 rushing line and 6-74 receiving in a 40-34 win over the Seahawks. Jacobs finished off an already strong outing with an 86-yard TD dash in OT. Jacobs set season highs in both rushing yards and receiving yards and topped 20 carries for the 3rd straight game. He's a weekly must start the rest of the way.

2:39pm EST 11/27/22

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs is active for today’s game vs. the Seahawks. He was added to the injury report and limited in Friday’s practice with a calf. He evidently looked and felt good enough in pregame warmups, though, and we haven’t heard anything about him being limited today.

ESPN's Adam Schefter calls Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (calf) "likely" to play against the Seahawks today, barring a pregame setback. Jacobs was added to the injury report on Friday and listed as questionable, which certainly adds risk to his Week 12 fantasy profile. But he'd be tough to bench if he ends up active. Raiders-Seahawks doesn't kick off until 4:05 pm ET, so Jacobs owners would be wise to have a late-game alternative lined up just in case Jacobs ends up missing this one.

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs is questionable for Sunday's game against the Seahawks after suffering an apparent calf injury in Friday's practice. We haven't seen details on the issue, so we'll need to watch his status throughout the weekend.

Packers WR Romeo Doubs (ankle) is out for Sunday night’s game vs. the Eagles. Allen Lazard, Christian Watson and Randall Cobb will continue operating as Green Bay’s top 3 WRs.

After 3 weeks short of 100-yard territory, Raiders RB Josh Jacobs returned in Sunday's OT win at Denver. He ran for 109 yards on 24 attempts, adding 51 more yards on 3 receptions. Jacobs claimed all Raiders carries for the game. RB Ameer Abdullah (4) and Brandon Bolden (1) each drew targets, however.
