Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Packers LB Quay Walker (groin) and S Rudy Ford (calf) are inactive for today's game against the Rams. LB Isaiah McDuffie and S Dallin Leavitt look like the next players up. Neither should be in the IDP plans for most fantasy teams, though. Check our updated IDP rankings for replacement options if you're in need.
Packers S Rudy Ford is questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams with a calf injury. The issue arose in Thursday's practice, and then he sat out Friday's workout. That bodes ill for his chances of playing Sunday. Dallin Leavitt looks like the next guy up if Ford can't go.
Packers LB Quay Walker missed practice Friday -- his first day on the injury report all week -- and is now questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams with a groin injury. HC Matt LaFleur said Walker "came in feeling tight today." We'll see about his status Sunday. Isaiah McDuffie has been the third LB up so far.
Raiders RB Josh Jacobs recorded 15 carries for 61 rushing yards and a TD in Week 8’s loss vs. the Lions. He also secured 2 of 4 targets for a team-leading 27 receiving yards in the contest. Unfortunately, Jacobs is the only Raider who eclipsed 20 receiving yards and one of only three players to catch more than one pass on Monday night. In fact, QB Jimmy Garoppolo didn’t complete a pass to a WR until the second half of the game. Both WR Jakobi Meyers and Davante Adams were held to one reception apiece, unable to bring anything to the table for fantasy managers. Next week’s matchup vs. the Giants should yield better results, though the current state of the Raiders' offense is deeply concerning.
Packers WR Romeo Doubs caught the team's lone TD in Sunday's loss to the Vikings, one of just 4 receptions for 18 yards. That marked a particularly inefficient performance for a team-high 9 targets. That makes 5 TD receptions on the season -- at an 18.5% TD rate -- and still just two games with more than 30 receiving yards. You should sell Doubs any time you encounter an opportunity.
Packers WR Christian Watson caught just three of 8 targets in Sunday's loss to the Vikings. He produced a mere 33 yards, ranking third on the team. Watson has now caught just 11 of 24 targets through four appearances, an ugly 45.8% catch rate. The good news is that he didn't miss time after hurting a knee late in Week 7. The bad news: QB Jordan Love appears likely to limit Watson's upside going forward. Next week holds a negative scoring matchup with the Rams, according to our adjusted fantasy points allowed. After that, though, come three straight positive matchups for WR scoring.
Packers TE Luke Musgrave (ankle) is active for today’s game vs. the Vikings. He only got in a limited practice on Friday, so it’s tough to believe that Musgrave will be anywhere close to 100% for this one. He’s not a recommended TE1 play.
Packers WR Christian Watson (knee) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final injury report for Sunday’s game vs. the Vikings. The knee injury Watson suffered last week doesn’t look like a concern. QB Jordan Love’s play is.
Packers TE Luke Musgrave (ankle) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Vikings. He returned to a limited practice on Friday after missing the previous two days. Musgrave admitted that he was still in a walking boot as of Thursday morning. Even if he ends up playing on Sunday, you should look elsewhere for your fantasy TE.
Packers TE Luke Musgrave (ankle) missed his second straight practice on Thursday. He's looking unlikely to play vs. the Vikings this weekend, but we'll see how Musgrave is listed on the final injury report tomorrow.
Packers WR Christian Watson (knee) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. He was knocked out late in last week's loss to the Broncos with a knee injury but will evidently be ready for Sunday's game vs. the Vikings.
Packers TE Luke Musgrave (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. The rookie was unable to return to last week's loss to the Broncos and is in danger of missing Sunday's game vs. the Vikings. We'll see if Musgrave is able to get back on the field tomorrow.
Titans HC Mike Vrabel said Tuesday that he anticipates both QBs Malik Willis and Will Levis playing vs. the Falcons this weekend if QB Ryan Tannehill is out. Vrabel wasn't ready to rule Tannehill out yet, but he seems unlikely to play after suffering a high-ankle sprain two weeks ago. Playing both Willis and Levis would be good for absolutely no one. You should try to avoid the Titans passing game in Week 8 fantasy lineups.
Packers WR Christian Watson didn't sound overly concerned about the right knee injury he suffered near the end of Sunday's loss to the Broncos. “Everything looked good on the scans and whatnot,” Watson said on Monday. “Obviously, I’m just trying to get the initial pain and stuff out of there and I think I’ll be good to go.” It sounds like Watson has a chance to play vs. the Vikings this weekend. We'll track his status throughout the week.
Packers WR Christian Watson hurt his right knee in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Broncos. He made it off the field under his own power but collapsed on the sidelines in obvious pain. We'll update his status when we know more.
Packers TE Luke Musgrave hurt his ankle in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Broncos and is questionable to return. Stay tuned for an update.
Update: Musgrave had a walking boot on that left foot after the game. We'll watch for more on a specific diagnosis and return timeline Monday.
Raiders RB Josh Jacobs mustered only 35 yards on 11 carries in Sunday's loss to Chicago. Jacobs added only 1 catch on 4 targets, although he nearly had more. A mishandled pass turned into one Bears INT. Jacobs also failed to get both feet down in bounds on an end zone target. On the bright side: Jacobs is now tied for the league-lead in targets. And there’s at least a chance he gets Jimmy Garoppolo back for Week 8 at Detroit.
Packers LB Quay Walker (knee) is active for today's game against the Broncos. Use him as planned in your IDP lineups. S Darnell Savage (calf) and CB Eric Stokes (foot) are also active. It'll be the season debut for Stokes. CB Jaire Alexander (back) is inactive, leaving Green Bay without its top cover guy.
Packers LB Quay Walker (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Broncos. He managed limited practices all week. We'll check his status ahead of Sunday's kickoff. Elsewhere on the defense, S Darnell Savage (calf), CB Eric Stokes (foot), and CB Jaire Alexander (back) are also questionable. Alexander opened the week off the injury report but aggravated the issue Thursday and then missed Friday's practice. That might leave Green Bay without its top cover guy.
Raiders RB Josh Jacobs tallied 77 rushing yards on 25 carries in Week 6’s victory vs. the Patriots. Despite seeing 5 targets on Sunday, the veteran back recorded just 2 catches for 16 yards in the contest. Still, Jacobs leads all NFL RBs with 35 targets this season and continues to shoulder a massive workload every week. We like him as an RB1 candidate in Week 7 vs. the Bears.
