Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Giants QB Daniel Jones (neck) has been ruled out for Sunday's game vs. the Jets. He remained limited in practice all week but hasn't been cleared for contact. QB Tyrod Taylor gets the start again this weekend. He's played reasonably well the past two weeks, completing 65% of his passes at 7.4 yards per attempt with two TDs and 0 INTs. Taylor isn't a recommended fantasy play against a tough Jets defense, but he's not a significant downgrade for guys like RB Saquon Barkley and TE Darren Waller.
Giants QB Daniel Jones (neck) still hasn't been cleared for contact and will be limited in Wednesday's practice, HC Brian Daboll said. Daboll also confirmed that Jones remains the starter, despite QB Tyrod Taylor's relatively solid play the past two weeks. We'll see if Jones can get cleared in time for Sunday's game vs. the Jets.
Giants QB Daniel Jones (neck) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Commanders. He put in three limited practices this week but still hasn’t been cleared for contact. QB Tyrod Taylor gets another start today.
Giants QB Daniel Jones (neck) is not expected to play vs. the Commanders on Sunday, according to NFL Network. Jones was limited in practice all week but still hasn't been cleared for contact. He's made "positive strides," per NFL Network, and seemingly has a good chance to be back for Week 8. We've been projecting QB Tyrod Taylor to start vs. Washington all week.
Giants QB Daniel Jones (neck) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Commanders. He was limited in practice all week, but HC Brian Daboll said Friday morning that Jones still hadn't been cleared for contact. We'll keep you updated on his status, but we're currently projecting QB Tyrod Taylor to start Sunday's game.
Giants QB Daniel Jones (neck) has not yet been cleared for contact, HC Brian Daboll said Thursday. Jones will remain limited at practice today and will obviously need to get that clearance in order to play vs. the Commanders this weekend. We'll keep you updated on his status.
Giants QB Daniel Jones (neck) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. It gives him a chance to return for this weekend's game vs. the Commanders. We'll keep tabs on his progress over the next few days.
Giants QB Daniel Jones (neck) is out for tonight's game vs. the Bills. But he has a "legitimate chance" to return for Week 7 against the Commanders, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. We'll track Jones' progress this coming week.
Giants QB Daniel Jones (neck) has been ruled out for Sunday night's game vs. the Bills. He didn't practice all week, so it's certainly possible that he misses more time. QB Tyrod Taylor will start on Sunday night for the first time since December 2021. Taylor is a serviceable backup but has little chance behind New York's leaky offensive line. We're considering Taylor just a slight downgrade from Jones for New York's pass-catchers.
Giants QB Daniel Jones (neck) will miss practice again on Thursday, HC Brian Daboll said. The team has tried to sound optimistic about Jones' chances of playing vs. the Bills on Sunday night, but it's looking more and more likely that it'll be QB Tyrod Taylor under center.
Giants QB Daniel Jones is skipping Wednesday's practice. HC Brian Daboll told reporters that Jones' neck is sorer today than in recent days. We'll see how he progresses through the week. But you should be trying to not use Jones in your fantasy lineup even if he's active.
Giants HC Brian Daboll told reporters Monday that despite not yet having the results of testing on QB Daniel Jones' neck injury, he's "optimistic" about Jones' chances of suiting up Sunday against the Bills. We'll watch for confirmation on Jones' status. Although an active Jones against Buffalo doesn't look like someone we'd want to use in fantasy football lineups -- unless it's necessary.
Giants QB Daniel Jones had an X-ray on his injured neck and will get a scan on Monday. He said after the loss to Miami that his neck soreness and pain feels “similar” to what he had in 2021, according to insider Pat Leonard. Jones missed the final six games of 2021 with that neck injury. We'll keep you updated on his status.
Giants TE Darren Waller woke up with 8 grabs for 86 yards in a blowout loss to Miami. Waller set a season-high with 11 targets. Game flow always projected favorably for the veteran, and sure enough, New York quickly faced a double-digit deficit. Now, we’ll need to check on the health of QB Daniel Jones, who left in the 4th quarter with a neck injury. If he’s unable to go for Week 6 (at Buffalo), Tyrod Taylor will start.
Giants QB Daniel Jones suffered a neck injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Dolphins and was quickly ruled out. Jones missed the final six games of the 2021 season with a neck injury. We'll update this current injury when we know more. QB Tyrod Taylor replaced Jones vs. Miami.
Giants QB Daniel Jones experienced yet another dreadful primetime nightmare. He was sacked a career-high 10 times, threw 2 INTs, and lost a fumble in Week 4 vs. the Seahawks. Including Monday night, Jones has recorded less than 10 fantasy points in three of four games. It’s fairly evident that the Giants’ offensive line has a lot of issues, and being without RB Saquon Barkley doesn’t help. Still, it’s going to be difficult to trust him in 1QB leagues at any point soon. Their next two games are against the Dolphins in Week 5 and the Bills in Week 6, neither of which are appealing matchups.
Giants QB Daniel Jones not surprisingly struggled vs. the 49ers on Thursday night. He completed 22 of 32 passes (68.8%) but totaled just 137 yards (4.3 yards per attempt) with 0 TDs and one INT. New York got nothing going downfield (where's Jalin Hyatt?). And Jones didn't get much help from his pass-catchers. TE Darren Waller was particularly bad, dropping at least two passes, including one that resulted in Jones' INT. It was also disappointing to see Jones finish with just five yards on two carries. It was a massive fantasy dud -- but hopefully you weren't counting on Jones against this elite 49ers defense. He has much more doable matchups the next two weeks vs. the Seahawks and Dolphins.
